A Leg To Stand On (“ALTSO”) is a non-profit organization providing free orthopedic care – including prosthetic limbs, orthotic devices, mobility aids, corrective surgery and rehabilitative care – to children in the developing world. The Charitable Limb 

Mission:

The Charitable Limb (TCL) is a very small organization whose sole goal is helping the needy with O&P requirements. The main field of operations has been in Syria. Before the conflict began, TCL conducted an annual clinic at the largest public hospital in Damascus, the Muassat hospital. During the five week clinic, prospective patients were evaluated and treated while hospital staff were also trained in protocols of amputee treatment from OR to final delivery of a prosthetic device.
