Mission Statement
Shriners Hospitals for Children - Los Angeles is dedicated to providing personalized, developmentally appropirate care for children with Orthopaedic and Burn Reconstruction needs free of charge regardless of race, sex, creed or naitonal origin. Our staff is committed to assisting patients within the context of their family and community; achieve self-reliance and personal growth while being actively engaged as "Healthcare Leaders", in providing education and research within our community. We honor diversity, encourage open discussion and respect the parent and child's right to participate in the planning of their care. We recognize that excellence in patient care is the result of an interdisciplinary effort requiring collaboration from all members of the health care team. We hold ourselves accountable for demonstrating performance improvement in all aspects of care while caring for the child, family and our staff.


Additional Information & Comments

Chronic conditions we treat include Cerebral Palsy, Myelodysplasia, Arthrogryopsis, Osteogenesis Imperfecta, Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis. All of these programs have multidisciplinary outpatient clinic treatment.

In addition we treat children with congenital or traumatic injuries to the limbs including amputations of the limbs as a result of birth defects and traumatic injuries caused by accidents, land mines injuries.

Our post-acute plastic reconstructive program for children who have sustained injuries due to fire, acid, scalding water and electricity. We also treat simple cleft lip and palate, microtias, hemangomas and hairy nevus.
