 | Mission Statement The Georgian Foundation for Prosthetic Orthopaedic Rehabilitation (GEFPOR) aims to ensure that all disabled people in Georgia have access to appropriate, quality and sustainable physical rehabilitation services without any discrimination.

Additional Information & Comments | The GEFPOR was founded in December 2003 on the base of the Orthopaedic Project of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), which has been successfully implemented in Tbilisi during 1994-2003. The GEFPOR presently is the leader in providing PO services throughout the country. The foundation is staffed by highly qualified orthopaedic technologists, who are awarded ISPO (International Society of prosthetics and Orthotic) II category certificates. Financially the GEFPOR activities still based mainly on international support - the International Committee of the Red Cross is the major donor of the foundation. From the begining of 2006 The GEFPOR has been kindly supported by the Canada Fund and Eurasia Foundation. The GEFPOR takes part in implementation of the Governmental programs assisting disabled persons.
